The list of the Top 10 County-level Museums in Guangxi was recently announced, with Lingqu Museum having secured a place in the selection for the years 2020-2022.

Lingqu Museum is a comprehensive historical and cultural institution that encompasses a cultural relic collection, valuable research, social education, exhibitions, and the promotion of Lingqu culture. With an area of 12,000 square meters, the museum features entrance halls, exhibition halls, collection areas, and office spaces. Among them, the exhibition halls consist of five permanent exhibition halls and one temporary exhibition hall.

From 2020 to 2022, Lingqu Museum organized 10 exhibitions, including the captivating "Charm of Bamboo" exhibition, which showcased the region’s rich bamboo culture. Over the three years, the museum received over 680,000 visitors, and hosted more than 3,000 groups from diverse sectors. These initiatives have not only contributed to the appropriate utilization of cultural relics but have also brought them to life within the museum.

To enhance the narrative behind the exhibited artifacts and expand its level and means of communication, the museum offers special services such as "Director's Guided Tours" and "Expert Guided Tours", engaging with visitors on topics including the museum's collection, immovable cultural relics, Lingqu culture, Xing'an's humanities and history, as well as information related to the exhibitions.

The museum maintains traditional service methods while also pursuing innovation in both traditional and smart services, bridging the "digital gap".

In terms of educational branding, the museum adheres to the requirements of the new era, continuously exploring and effectively utilizing its collection resources.

It actively collaborates to create an enriching educational environment and offers courses that encompass professionalism, knowledge, entertainment, science, and active participation, catering to a wider audience of young people.

Each year, the museum organizes over 30 events, including lectures, speech competitions, calligraphy and photography exhibitions, archaeological studies, Lingqu cultural salons, and stone rubbing experiences, with a focus on themes of ethnic unity and progress.

Moreover, the museum leverages its distinctive characteristics to celebrate traditional Chinese festivals and commemorative days, hosting a series of folk cultural activities such as the "Lingqu Cultural Lantern Riddle Contest," the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Finger Painting Workshop," "Handmade Embroidery Ball Creation," and "Jianzi Kicking." These engaging activities guide young people to deepen their understanding of the inheritable nature of exceptional traditional festival culture, fostering a stronger appreciation for traditional cultural education.

Additionally, the museum has a volunteer training and assessment program, selecting more than 70 exceptional volunteers to serve as "Ambassadors for Lingqu Culture Inheritance" and "Social-Educational Activity Volunteers".

These volunteers diligently fulfill their duties during holidays and festivals, providing voluntary interpretive services, encouraging visitors to behave respectfully, promoting Lingqu culture, and upholding the spirit of volunteerism. They have become a vibrant and integral part of Lingqu Museum, adding to its charm and allure.
