On June 7th, during the second day of the "ASEAN Media Partners" exchange program in Guilin, a media delegation visited various locations, including the Lijiang River, West Street in Yangshuo, and Jiwodu Village. Their purpose was to gather information on ecological environmental protection, comprehensive management of the Lijiang River basin, its eco-friendly tourism boats, as well as its rural revitalization efforts.

While on the tourist boat, the journalists took out a 20-yuan banknote from their pockets and took photos with the picturesque scenery of the Lijiang River. The snapshots captured the famous "Yellow Cloth Reflection" depicted on the banknote. The scenery on the 20-yuan banknote was from the Lijiang River.

Everyone marveled at the breathtaking beauty of the Lijiang River, expressing that it left the most profound impression on them.  They said the river reflects the success of the comprehensive ecological management efforts. In addition to the restoration and improvement of the Lijiang River's ecological environment, Guilin has also worked toward preserving its eco-friendly tourism boats. The Guilin Tourist Boat used by the "ASEAN Partners" is the first five-star new energy tourist boat in Guangxi. It reduces the emission of pollutants into the Lijiang River during water tours.

After disembarking at the Yangshuo Dock, the "ASEAN Media Partners" strolled along West Street, the oldest and busiest street in Yangshuo. With its cobblestone road and ancient buildings, West Street has undergone protective renovations, transforming it into a historic street with modern tourism facilities and functions, making it an internationally renowned tourist destination.

At noon, the "ASEAN Media Partners" arrived at Jiwodu Village and were once again amazed. This village, which was once impoverished, has now become a model village for rural revitalization. "Currently, Jiwodu Village is vigorously developing rural tourism. The number of tourism practitioners engaged in activities such as bamboo rafting, farmhouse dining, and guesthouses has exceeded 200 people, with an annual per capita income of over 37,000 yuan," said Huang Yonghua, the Party secretary of Yangshuo Town.

In the afternoon, the "ASEAN partners" made their final stop in Guilin, visiting the Guilin Heji Agritourism Farm located on the bank of the Taohua River. This place focuses on the principles of "green, leisure, participation, and experience," combining agriculture with tourism to promote the concept of a low-carbon lifestyle for people.

Harjo Listyanto, the editor-in-chief of Elshinta Radio in Jakarta, Indonesia, gushed, "This activity is fantastic. Guilin's landscape is incredibly beautiful and worth visiting for friends from all around the world! The mountains on both sides of the Lijiang River are stunning, the water is clean, and the ecological system is well-preserved."

The China Media Group and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region jointly launched the "ASEAN Media Partners" Observing China's Modernization Media Delegation. More than 30 journalists from 18 media outlets in eight ASEAN countries, along with journalists from the China Media Group and Guangxi, experienced the cities of Guilin, Liuzhou, Qinzhou, and Beihai in Guangxi on their reporting journey.
