The 2023 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition will be held on Oct 13-15 in Guilin city - located in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region - officials announced during a recent news conference held in Beijing.
With a total exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, this year's tourism exhibition will feature seven main exhibition areas highlighting various formats and products - such as smart tourism, weather tourism, and cultural heritage tourism.
In addition, themed forums, business matching sessions and inspection activities will be organized.
Officials added during the news conference that the exhibition has significant meaning for promoting cultural and tourism cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.
They said the event will emphasize international openness, strengthen international exchanges, showcase the new model of "tourism +" and enhance the level of integrated development of culture and tourism.
Furthermore, the new Guilin International Convention and Exhibition Center will be put into operation for the exhibition, expanding the scale of the show and focusing on tourism transactions and commerce as well as trade efficacy.
