The 2023 National Youth Paddling Championship and China Paddling Open Tournament Pingle Station will be held on the Pingle section of Lijiang River in Guilin from Oct 21 to 22.
The press conference announced on Sept 27 that more than 500 athletes from all over the country will participate in the competition.
This is the second time that the National Sports Administration's Water Sports Management Center has chosen Guilin's Pingle county as the venue for a national-level water sports event.
Pingle county is committed to developing comprehensive ecological sports and building natural sports arenas amidst green waters and mountains, providing tourists with ecological outdoor sports experience products and services.
Over the past three years, Pingle has promoted the upgrade of culture and tourism industry through ecological sports. This event will propel Guilin to become a world-class tourist city.
