On Dec 16, Guilin Airport will introduce a new international air route connecting Guilin and Jakarta.

The flights will be operated by Batik Air from Indonesia using a Boeing B737 aircraft. The service is scheduled to run every Saturday, and tickets are already available for purchase on major OTA platforms.

Since the beginning of this year, the tourism industry has been gradually recovering, and the resumption of international flights has become an important task for Guilin Airport. In June, AirAsia resumed direct flights between Guilin and Kuala Lumpur. In September, Guilin Airport added three more international routes: "Bangkok-Guilin," "Penang-Guilin," and "Incheon-Guilin." With the upcoming Jakarta route, a total of five international routes have been added or resumed at Guilin Airport this year.

Jakarta, the largest city in Southeast Asia, serves as one of Indonesia's economic centers and is among the country's top three tourist cities, boasting numerous tourist attractions.

The opening of the Guilin-Jakarta international route will further enhance the connection between Guangxi and the ASEAN region, promoting the recovery of the tourism markets in both regions as well as facilitating economic and trade exchanges. Guilin Airport will continue to deepen cooperation with airlines and travel agencies, promoting the recovery and opening of international routes.
