Guilin city, situated in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, is experiencing an exhilarating revival helped along by a friendly region in China.
It has rolled out the Guangdong enterprises entering Guilin initiative this year, aiming to promote the resumption of work and production through various forms of cooperation with government and enterprises in South China's Guangdong province.
The Guangdong enterprises entering Guilin program is a measure enabling Guangxi to implement its eastern integration strategy, fully connect with the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, undertake an industrial transfer from eastern regions and accelerate the improvement of basic industrial capabilities and supply chain levels – thereby promoting the high-quality development of its economy.
Led by the Photovoltaic Science and Technology Industrial Park in Yongfu county, Guilin has brought in upstream and downstream enterprises through investment roadshows – including Xinhuiyuan Technology, Fuhuikang Technology and Hangtai Optoelectronics from the Guangdong region – and it's formed a solar power industry cluster as a result.
Guilin officials have also visited the commercial and cultural areas in Shenzhen, making preparations to boost their city's status as a commercial center and enrich its nighttime economy, while promoting the inflow of industries from Guangdong.
The Greater Bay Area has always been a major source of investment in Guilin. The city has attracted numerous Guangdong enterprises to invest there, driving the high-quality development of the local economy.
