Since the beginning of 2025, industrial parks across Guangxi have focused on emerging industries such as AI, local officials announced on Feb 25. These parks are off to a smooth start in areas such as attracting investment and construction of major projects.

To attract more investment, Guangxi has held various investment promotion meetings across Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai, focusing on key industries.

To date, agreements for 16 new projects related to AI have been signed, with a total investment of 7.7 billion yuan ($1.06 billion), accounting for approximately 15 percent of Guangxi's total. Nine of the projects have received more than 100 million yuan in investment, while three projects have received more than 500 million yuan in investment.

Cities across Guangxi are using industrial parks to accelerate the cultivation of emerging advantageous industries. Beihai, for example, has launched various projects related to AI-generated content, while Qinzhou is strengthening the development of pilot bases.

Guilin has formed a full chain in the aviation tire field, from research, development, and manufacturing to airworthiness certification, with Guilin Lanyu Aircraft Tire Development accelerating the transformation of key aviation tire technologies. The company plans to complete the airworthiness certification for domestically produced large aircraft tires in 2025.

To address the labor needs of industrial parks across Guangxi and accelerate construction on key projects, Guangxi aims to help recruit around 500,000 workers for enterprises, including around 300,000 for key industrial parks.
