Guilin airport has recently collaborated with Malindo Air to resume the Guilin-Kuala Lumpur route, and the Greater Bay Airlines will operate the Guilin-Hong Kong route, reconnecting the aerial bridge between Guilin and Hong Kong, Guilin Liangjiang International Airport reported on April 3.
Malindo Air has recommenced its Guilin-Kuala Lumpur service (OD694/5) effective on March 27, operating two to three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Sundays. This restoration complements existing Malaysia Airlines and Malindo Air. Malaysia Airlines plans to operate four weekly flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. With the resumption of Malindo Air services, the Guilin-Kuala Lumpur route will offer six to seven weekly flights, providing travelers with more flight connectivity.
Representatives from Guilin airport said that starting from April 15 this year, Guilin airport will resume the Guilin-Hong Kong route, operated by Greater Bay Airlines with flight number HB530/1. The route will be serviced by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, flying twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with a flight time of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The Guilin-Hong Kong route, which has been suspended since January 2020, will be reinstated after five years, further reducing travel time between the two destinations and offering convenience for international travelers entering Guilin via Hong Kong.
