Longsheng autonomous county of Guilin city, Guangxi, kicked off its agri-culture-tourism promotion event and art performance at Nantou Ancient City in Shenzhen's Nanshan district on Jan 16.
The event treated local residents to a cultural feast blending Miao, Yao, Dong, Zhuang and Han ethnic customs, making Longsheng's resources a hit in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Original ethnic performances stole the show. Dynamic folk dances, melodious songs and vivid situational shows filled the venue with joy, immersing the audience in Longsheng's distinctive cultural charm.

A concurrent intangible cultural heritage market also drew huge crowds. Local specialties like Longji chicken, chili and bacon were on display, alongside precious Guilin Bloodstone.
Live demonstrations of ICH crafts – including Yao costume making, oil tea brewing and Dong straw weaving – let visitors experience the depth and vitality of Longsheng's traditional heritage firsthand.
The event epitomizes the shift from the heavily symbolic concept of "blood transfusion" to "blood formation" in Guangdong-Guangxi collaboration. Since 2021, Nanshan district has invested 258 million yuan ($36.92 million) in 90 projects, and received donations worth 83.5426 million yuan for public welfare, boosting rural vitalization across industries.
A county official said the 150-member delegation aimed to showcase Longsheng's beauty, food and culture. The event adopted a multi-channel communication model with online live streams and full coverage reports, achieving great popularity both offline and online, and expanding the influence of Guangdong-Guangxi cooperation outcomes.
