1. Optimize urban public center system

Huzhou follows a layout of overall decentralization and partial centralization, and has established a public center system with multi-support, distinct layers and all-round balance.

2. Create 5-10-15-minute life circle

In accordance with the requirements for better life services, such as livable living, excellent education, good medical care, and healthy living for the aged, and the space range accessible by walking for five, 10 and 15 minutes, Huzhou is striving to build and improve the urban life circle in its communities.

3. Create a 5-minute water-friendly and green living environment circle

Huzhou has been protecting the ecological network and accelerating the construction of a networked urban landscape and green space system, in order to form a blue-green system featuring diverse types, rich levels, complex functions and characteristics of the water village of south Taihu Lake.

Huzhou also follows the standard of a 10-minute walk (about 1,000 to 1,500 meters) to see the wetland landscape, and a 5-minute walk (300-500 m) to see water and green, by accelerating the construction of blue and green space networks.
