Huzhou Central Hospital, founded in 1944, is a comprehensive hospital integrating medical services, training, research, emergency rescue, disease prevention, rehabilitation and health preservation functions.
Covering a construction area of 150,000 square meters, the hospital has 1,200 beds. It provides medical services for about 3 million people from Huzhou and neighboring cities, and undertakes educational tasks for more than 20 universities and colleges, such as Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Medical College of Soochow University and Wenzhou Medical University. The hospital has nearly 2,000 employees.
Hepatic-biliary-pancreatic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, digestive medicine, haematology, respiratory medicine, cardiology, intensive medicine and molecular diagnosis are key provincial and municipal disciplines at the hospital, and there is also a key municipal medical molecular laboratory.
