An industrial internet platform developed by Zhejiang OSM Group, a cosmetics manufacturer based in Deqing county, Huzhou, debuted on Sept 3 at an exhibition showcasing industrial internet platforms across Zhejiang which are geared toward the biomedical industry.

The platform will help manage the quality of biological products with pearls as a prime ingredient. It has adopted information technologies such as blockchain, 5G and internet of things.

At the exhibition, Huzhou launched a three-year campaign to promote the construction of industrial internet platforms.

By 2022, the city plans to construct at least 10 comprehensive industrial internet platforms which can be used in multiple sectors, including at least five provincial model platforms.

It will also build 200 smart factories/digital workshops and 15 digital small and micro parks.

It is hoped that by that time the city's production efficiency and energy utilization rate will see increases of over 30 percent and 20 percent respectively.
