Key scenic spots in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province welcomed a total of 738,600 visitors during the Tomb Sweeping Day holiday, a time for people to mourn the deceased and honor martyrs.

The city's cultural venues, including libraries, received nearly 70,000 visitors over the holiday by offering a series of cultural activities.

The average occupancy rate of the city's resort hotels and boutique homestays exceeded 81.5 percent, official data shows.

Tours to historical sites with a revolutionary legacy were among the most popular types of tours during the holiday. For example, Yucun village in Anji county received 34,000 tourists, while the Site of Jiangsu-Zhejiang Military Region of the New Fourth Army welcomed 10,900 visitors.

A survey released by Ctrip, a domestic online travel agency, shows that China's tourism industry is enjoying a speedy recovery. Bolstered by the strong recovery of the domestic tourism market, Ctrip's total bookings for the Qingming Festival tripled year-on-year.

Orders for surrounding tourist hotels on the platform increased by more than 40 percent nationwide when compared to the same period in 2019 before the COVID-19 epidemic.

Zoo Hotel and Diamond Hotel in Huzhou have been listed in this year's list of popular hotels during the Qingming Festival by Ctrip.
