A photography contest themed on railway construction was recently launched in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

Entries are required to depict the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway and the Huzhou-Hangzhou Railway and contain information like photographer information, shooting time, and place.

They should be submitted before July 31, with 40 being selected to be finalists based on online votes. The final winners will be decided by both experts' review and online votes.

Two entrants will be conferred with prize money of 5,000 yuan ($769) each, four will be awarded with 2,000 yuan, and 10 will be given 1,000 yuan.

The two aforementioned railway lines are still under conduction. The Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway is expected to reduce travel time between Huzhou and Shanghai to just half an hour. Huzhou will also be the only city within one hour of Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Hefei by high-speed rail.

The contest is part of a series of events launched by Huzhou to mark the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
