Huzhou see fast growth in public service quality

Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang recently won national recognition for its public service quality.

According to a report released by the State Administration for Market Regulation, Huzhou ranked second nationwide in terms of public service quality in 2020.

It scored 83.53 points out of 100, while being rated as excellent in all 12 factors observed in the report, such as education, employment, healthcare, social security, transportation, public security, and ecological environment.

Among them, it was ranked first nationwide in terms of public security. In 2020, the city was rated as the safest city in Zhejiang with a score of 99.44 points.

Huzhou has also established a number of grassroots facilities to handle conflicts and disputes.  As of the end of last year, 24,900 conflicts and disputes had been resolved in the city, with the satisfaction rate among people involved reaching 98 percent.

Notable improvements have also been seen in the city's services for talents and businesses.

Official data shows that a total of 365,000 talents have sought employment in Huzhou in the past three years.

Currently, more than 2,000 administrative approval items related to businesses can be handled online in the city, accounting for nearly 80 percent of the total, which has greatly saved time for individuals and enterprises.
