Two Huzhou areas listed as national key rural tourism sites

Miaoshan village and Moganshan town in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province recently made the lists of national key tourism towns and villages.

The lists were unveiled by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Development and Reform Commission.

A total of 199 villages from across the nation made the list of national key tourism villages, while 100 towns were designated national key tourism towns.

The lists come as part of a broad push from the central government to eradicate poverty in rural areas and achieve rural revitalization. 

Miaoshan village

Situated in the central and western part of Miaoxi town, Huzhou's Wuxing district, Miaoshan village is renowned for its unspoiled natural views.

A large number of tourism facilities catering to the different needs of visitors in fields including sightseeing, leisure, sports, and culture have been erected in the village.

The town in Huzhou's Deqing county is where Mount Mogan is located. Mount Mogan is one of the four most renowned summer resorts in China. Bamboo grown on the mountain keeps the heat out.

The mountain was listed by the New York Times as one of the 45 best places in the world to visit. It is renowned for its pristine natural views, homestays, and boutique hotels.
