Lujia village in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province recently has emerged as a hit destination for nighttime tourism.
A night tour on a mini-train launched by the village, which is situated in Dipu sub-district, Anji county, has gained huge popularity among tourists.
The tour's first stop is a rafting tourism project, which now receives more than 1,000 people per day. Apart from having fun in the water, visitors can also go barbecuing and watch outdoor movies there.
The average daily income of the tourism project stands at 60,000 yuan ($9230.7).
In addition, the tour also included stops at a tea bar, a children's park, and farms where visitors are able to experience the fun of farming and enjoy various art shows.
"This is not the first time I've been to Lujia village, but there's always a pleasant surprise every time I come," said Shu Min, a resident from Anji, who was on a trip with her child.
The opening of scenic spots in the village at night has offered them a great place to visit, she added.
In 2020, Lujia village's collective assets reached 290 million yuan, while its collective operating income stood at 5.72 million yuan, according to Zhu Renbin, Party chief of the village.
As part of its efforts to promote common prosperity, the village has rolled out a policy allowing local villagers to apply for free booths this year. As a result, many locals who used to work outside of the village have returned home to start businesses.
