Five businesses from Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province debuted at the 17th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, which opened at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center on Sept 23.

Scheduled to run until Sept 27, the fair includes offline and online activities this year.

Zhejiang has sent a delegation of 78 cultural enterprises to participate in the annual cultural event, among which five were from Huzhou.

Traditional cultural items, including the Huzhou writing brush, silk, and colored-glaze from the city, are on display at the fair.

The Huzhou writing brush is a traditional Chinese brush pen that is believed to have a history of over 2,000 years. In 2016, the skills to make them were designated a national intangible cultural heritage item.

The Huzhou writing brush, Hui ink, Xuan paper, and Duan ink slab are the four traditional Chinese treasures in stationery. They are significant representatives of traditional Chinese culture.

The exhibits from Huzhou still included some creative cultural products themed on a local scenic attraction featuring architecture done in a style that was popular in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
