The CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee recently announced that Wang Gang was appointed as secretary of the CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee.

Hong Hupeng was appointed as deputy secretary of the CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee.

Born in 1972 in Wuyi, a county in Zhejiang province, Wang Gang joined the CPC in 1994 and was a graduate of the Journalism School of Hangzhou University.

Wang worked at Zhejiang Daily before he was promoted to be deputy secretary-general of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government in 2015 and deputy secretary-general of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee in 2017.

From 2019 to 2021, Wang served as the deputy secretary of the CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee and mayor of Huzhou before taking on this new position.
