Huzhou enterprises are seeking business opportunities at the ongoing fourth China International Import Expo in Shanghai.

A total of 22 Zhejiang companies inked procurement deals worth 13.19 billion yuan ($2.03 billion) with 25 exhibitors from 15 countries, including Japan, the United States, and Germany, at the expo on Nov 7.

Among them was Zhejiang Langduo Food Co Ltd, which was attending the CIIE for the second time.

Kambly cookies showcased by the Huzhou-based import food agent at the expo have attracted many clients.

Retail sales of the Swiss brand's cookies hit a maximum of 100,000 yuan per day during the event, according to Shan Chen, general manager assistant at Zhejiang Langduo Food Co Ltd.

Zhejiang Nyso Network Technology Co Ltd, another company from Huzhou, also garnered great attention at the expo.

As an agent for Kagami, the company showcased the Japanese brand's crystal cups, which are all priced above 1,000 yuan.

Gu Dandan, who serves as general manager assistant at Nyso, said that the company hopes to find more customers or dealers via CIIE, thus expanding Kagami's presence in the China market.

It was the fourth time for the company to attend the expo. Differing from previous years, the company has paid more attention to the introduction of high-end consumer goods, Gu added.

From January to September, Huzhou's imports totaled 10.18 billion yuan, up 26.1 percent compared with the same period last year.
