A farmers' cooperative and a farm from Huzhou recently won recognition from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

Xun'ao cooperative, which is situated in the city's Nanxun district, was recognized for its integrated rice-fish farming system.

Currently, the cooperative has a 2,866-mu (191 hectares) field that adopts the rice-fish farming pattern whose yields are much higher than the traditional plantation method.

The cooperative has also been providing technical guidance for farmers in the district.

Meanwhile, Songsha farm from Huzhou's Changxing county was honored as a national model farm.

Founded in 2017, the strawberry farm has witnessed robust development after it adopted intelligent technologies.

Its number of clients had increased from 300 to 5,400 in the past five years, while revenue increased from 500,000 yuan ($76,923) to 1.62 million yuan over the period.

Its success has also attracted surrounding farmers to follow suit, and this has allowed them to earn an additional 30,000 to 50,000 yuan in annual household income.
