Huzhou establishes first forest fire brigade

Anji county in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, recently set up a forest fire brigade, becoming the first administrative area in Huzhou to do so.
The brigade, which consists of 25 people with an average age of 28, will be responsible for tasks related to fighting forest fires and participate in natural disaster rescue work in the county.
It is equipped with superior equipment such as high-lift fire pumps, imported portable high-pressure water pumps, wind fire extinguishers and drones
The firefighters will be on duty around the clock so that they can respond to forest fires immediately.
Anji is home to 2.02 million mu (134,666 hectares) of forest and has a forest coverage rate of over 70 percent. The county is listed among 49 high-risk areas for forest fires in Zhejiang.
