The Huzhou Engineering Technician College was inaugurated in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Dec 22.

The establishment of the college is the latest achievement in the city's pursuit for high-quality technical education development.

The Zhejiang provincial government had in July approved the setting up of the Huzhou Engineering Technician College to cultivate and train highly skilled personnel in the region.

The school comprises five departments for disciplines including machinery and electronics, commerce and trade, and information. 

Huzhou has been attaching great importance to the training of skilled personnel in recent years. To date, the city has established five technician colleges located in all of its five administrative areas.
