Eleven Huzhou companies made the 2021 list of Zhejiang top 200 private enterprises which was recently released by the Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce.

The companies are Tianneng Holding Group Co Ltd, Chilwee Group, Zhejiang Shenghua Group Co Ltd, Mizuda Group Co Ltd, Dehua Holding Group Co Ltd, Jiuli Group Co Ltd, Yongxing Special Materials Technology Co Ltd, Zhejiang Topsun industrial Group Co Ltd, Wepon Pharmaceutical Holding Group Co Ltd, Zhejiang Dadongwu Group Co Ltd and Zhejiang Grandwall Technology Group Co Ltd.

Among them, Tianneng, Mizuda, Chilwee, Topsun and Dadongwu were also listed among the top 100 private enterprises in Zhejiang in terms of R&D expenditure.

In addition, Tianneng, Chilwee and Mizuda made the top 100 private employer list in the province.

The private sector has been playing a crucial role in Huzhou's economic development.

Local private companies contributed more than 75 percent of the industrial value of enterprises above the designated size and nearly 80 percent of taxes paid by enterprises above the designated size.

They are also the prime engine driving Huzhou's foreign trade growth, with imports and exports accounting for more than 99 percent of the city's total.
