Huzhou's Wuxing district will allocate a fund worth 100 million yuan ($15.38 million) to incentivize non-local employees to stay put during the upcoming Spring Festival.

Of the 100 million yuan, 18 million yuan will be used to help enterprises to stabilize production, and 5 million yuan will be utilized to help companies satisfy non-local employees' diversified consumption needs during the festival, according to a guideline recently released by the district government.

Construction sites that do not stop work during the Spring Festival will be given up to 500,000 yuan, while those that resume work before Feb 5 and Feb 10 will be granted a maximum of 200,000 yuan and 100,000 yuan respectively.

In addition, the government will release 25 million yuan in coupons, which non-local workers can use in restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, stores and scenic spots in the district.

Cultural venues will also open to the public for free during the holiday period, according to the guideline.
