An array of items being used in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, including the ribbons on medals, materials used for the award certificates, LED screens and new-energy dining cars, were produced in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, according to local media reports.

The ribbons attached to the Games' medals were manufactured by Huzhou Jinyu Silk Technology Co Ltd, which has been engaged in the R&D, design and production of silk jacquard products for 50 years.

Meanwhile, Shuanglin damask silk from the Zhejiang city has been mounted on the cover of the award certificates for the Winter Games.

Silk damask is a general term for damask silk and spun silk. Those with complex decorative patterns are damask silk while those with plain colors are spun silk.

The weaving technique of damask silk was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2008.

Five massive LED screens manufactured by a Huzhou enterprise have also been installed in sports venues in Zhangjiakou. These screens have a combined size of nearly 600 square meters.

In addition, the dining cars made by a Geely-funded plant in the city are being used at the Games.
