The 9th Huzhou Municipal Congress of the Communist Party of China commenced in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Feb 24.

According to a report delivered by Wang Gang, secretary of the CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee, Huzhou will in the coming years stick to the green development path based on the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets."

During the five-year period, the city will strive to become a modernized socialist city that excels in green and low-carbon development and common prosperity.

To achieve the goal, the report outlined 10 specific tasks in fields including green manufacturing, the integration into the Yangtze River Delta, business climate, ecological conservation, urbanization and social governance.
