A road in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province recently made the national list of the most popular roads in the country.

The recipient is the Yucun Avenue located in Yucun village, Tianhuangping town, Anji county.

Spanning 3.701 kilometers, the road has strengthened the mountainous village's connectivity with the outside world, allowing people to reach the highway in 20 minutes.

Due to its convenient transportation and enchanting landscapes, Yucun has emerged as a popular rural tourism site.

The village is known as the birthplace of the concept which states "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets."

Last December, it was honored as one of the Best Tourism Villages at the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly in Madrid.

The Best Tourism Villages initiative by the UNWTO is aimed at advancing the role of tourism in safeguarding rural villages and their landscapes, natural and cultural diversity, and values and activities, including local gastronomy.

Two villages from China won the honor, with the other one being Xidi village from Anhui province.
