As of 2:00 pm March 10, Zhili town in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, had completed three rounds of nucleic acid testing, with more than 300,000 samples taken. All tests came out negative.

The mass testing came after a man residing in the town tested positive during a routine nucleic acid test on March 7 after returning from a city outside Zhejiang.

Zhili is a national manufacturing hub for children's wear. It is home to more than 20,000 market entities in the children's clothing sector, accounting for 60 percent of the domestic market share, official statistics show.

To prevent the possible spread of the virus, the China (Zhili) Children's Wear City and the Zhili International Textile City suspended operations right after the incident. A reopening date has not been announced.
