Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province kicked off an online job fair targeting talents in the equipment manufacturing sector on April 6.

The event attracted some juggernauts in the sector including Zhejiang Sany Equipment Co Ltd and Joy Air.

Sany offered 25 jobs each with an annual salary of at least 180,000 yuan ($27,692) at the fair, according to Guan Yunting, a company representative.

The online fair marked the beginning of an online recruitment campaign launched by the local government. Another four online job fairs will be held this month to attract professionals for sectors such as new energy, elevator, motor, electronics, biomedicine and green home.

According to preliminary statistics, the campaign has attracted 204 enterprises and offered 5,281 jobs, with the highest annual salary offered being 600,000 yuan.

The recruitment information has been posted on the websites of 112 universities across the nation, according to Zhu Xinjiang, an official at the Huzhou Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security.
