The Anji Ancient City National Archaeological Site Park in Huzhou's Anji county was recently included in a Zhejiang provincial tourism campaign titled "Shining Pearls".

The park, which is based on the Longshan Ancient City site, is the only national project related to cultural relics protection and utilization in Huzhou.

Authorities aim to develop the park into a large-scale complex integrating culture, tourism, research and education and outdoor sports.

Sixty scenic spots across Zhejiang will be included in campaign and given priority in development so as to turn them into the so-called "shining pearls" by 2022, according to a plan released by the provincial government.

Through the campaign, the province aims to increase the added value of the tourism sector to 580 billion yuan ($89.23 billion) and attract 860 million visitors, including five million visitors from overseas, this year.
