Fatou village in Huzhou made the 2021 list of Zhejiang provincial forest convalescent homes, local media reported.

A total of 19 sites across the province made the list.

Among them were Fatou village, a rustic village in the Mount Mogan scenic spot, a renowned summer resort in Huzhou's Deqing county with a forest coverage rate of nearly 90 percent.

The village has rolled out a dozen tourism offerings including forest yoga, forest tai chi, forest jogging and fruit picking.

Sites listed as provincial forest convalescent homes should have a forest coverage rate of no less than 70 percent and have good air quality on over 90 percent of days in a year.

In addition, the concentration of negative oxygen ions in the central area should be at least 2,000 per cubic centimeter.

Provincial forest convalescent homes are also required to meet certain requirements in terms of the acoustic environment, surface water quality, and reception facilities.

The output value of ecological tourism and forest convalescent homes amounted to 115 billion yuan ($17.69 billion) in Zhejiang in 2020, official statistics show.
