Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province has always been a popular tourist destination among Chinese because of its comprehensive food and scenic offerings.

Have just one day to spare in this beautiful city? Here's an itinerary you can consider.

Breakfast

Check out the bakery on Taixia Street which sells kaobing, a sesame seed cake stuffed with minced meat and vegetables. This hearty dish is popular among local residents and visitors alike.

After breakfast, head on to the nearby Feiying Park, where the century-old Feiying Tower is located.

Nanxun Ancient Town and Xinshi Ancient Town are also among the must-see scenic spots for visitors as they provide a glimpse into ancient Jiangnan, a region located in the south of the Yangtze River.

Lunch

From savory Shuangjiao Noodles to Xinshi Chagao, a type of rice cake, to Lanhushansi, a dish with mashed eel as its main ingredient, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to lunch options.

When you've had your fill, burn off all those calories at Skyland, a resort in Anji where you can sit on cliff swings, ride grass slides and do go karting.

Dinner

To end off the day, dishes made with the local fish are a must-try. Don't forget to try the fish balls and Xishayangwei, a snack that is made of red bean paste, lard, egg white and glutinous rice flour.
