Honey peaches in Chengshangou scenic spot in Huzhou's Changxing county recently entered harvest season.

This year, the fruit's plantation area in the scenic area stands at 2,000 mu (133.3 hectares). About 50 mu of peaches are now mature, and farmers can harvest more than 500 kilograms of the fruit, which are priced at about 20 yuan ($3.08) per kilogram, per day.

The fruit's harvest season is expected to last until the end of August.

Peaches grown in Chengshangou are renowned for their strong fragrance and soft, juicy, and sweet taste.

Due to the weather, the overall yield this year will be slightly lower than in previous years, say experts, adding that the prolonged growing period will also make the peaches bigger and sweeter.

In addition to picking honey peaches, visitors can also have barbecues at Chengshangou, and they will be given admission discounts during the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival.
