Eight places in Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province were recently included in the provincial "common prosperity" campaign.

These places were listed in the first group of "basic elements", which include "future communities", "future villages" and demonstration areas for urban-rural landscapes, to achieve modernization and common prosperity in Zhejiang.

The Hongshuwan residential community in Huzhou's Wuxing district, Qibei residential community in Changxing county and Xinfeng residential community in Deqing county are included in the "future community" program. These communities will undergo renovations and build a number of facilities to optimize elderly care, education and medical services.

In addition, Yucun village in Anji county, Xiantan village in Deqing county and Miaoshan village in Wuxing district are included in the "future village" program.

Yucun village was honored as one of the "Best Tourism Villages" 2021 at the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly. The other two villages are also renowned for their rural tourism development. Miaoshan has a forest coverage rate of 83 percent, and the concentration of negative oxygen ions in some areas of the village is as high as 20,000 /cm³, which is more than 40 times the average in urban areas.

These two places from Huzhou also made the list of demonstration areas for urban-rural landscapes.
