The award ceremony for the national short video contest "Seeing Beautiful China" was held in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on May 30.

The short video contest is sponsored by China Media Group, the National (Hangzhou) Short Video Base, the CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee, and the Communication University of China.

Launched in May 19 2021, the event received more than 2,000 short clips submitted by media outlets, colleges, and individuals from across the nation.

Six works, including A Leaf  by Huzhou News Media Center, won the Best Short Video Award, while 24 other works won awards including Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Creativity.

A Leaf  is a film featuring how a village achieves prosperity by growing Anji white tea.

The contest is part of the host city's efforts to promote awareness of the city brand "See Beautiful China in Huzhou".
