Five industrial parks in Huzhou were recently designated Zhejiang modern service industry innovation development zones, bringing the total number of such development zones in the city to 11.

Thirty-six parks were included in the program, which was launched by Zhejiang to spur innovation in the modern service sector. The five places from Huzhou are primarily involved in fields including building materials, home furnishing, logistics and tourism.

Zhejiang has set the target of building about 100 modern service industry innovation development zones before 2023, and having 20 of them becoming globally influential before 2035.

By 2025, the revenue of the modern service industry innovation development zones in the province is expected to surpass 5 trillion yuan ($769.23 billion).
