Preparations for the 2022 China Green Low Carbon Innovation Conference, which will be held on Aug 15 and 16 in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, are currently in full swing, the organizers said recently.

The conference, which is sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, comprises an opening ceremony, a seminar and six themed forums.

More than 100 experts and scholars from home and abroad will discuss topics including ecological civilization, energy revolution, pollution elimination and carbon reduction during the conference.

The event will also witness the release of important research papers such as The White Paper on the Carbon Peak, Carbon Neutrality, Science and Technology Development in Zhejiang Province.

Huzhou, the host city, has long been hailed as a model in the nation's campaign to create a green and low-carbon economy, and the city will use the conference as an opportunity to promote its profile, a local official said.
