The Zhejiang division of the 11th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition will be staged in Huzhou, Zhejiang province on Aug 4 and 5, local media reported.

Companies in seven industries, including information technology, high-end equipment, new materials, biological medicine, energy conservation and environmental protection, new energy and new energy vehicles, across the province will contend for the 30 spots in the competition's finals.

To prevent the resurgence of the COVID-19 epidemic, all participants are required to provide a negative nucleic acid test report within 72 hours. Those who travelled to medium and high-risk areas within 14 days can apply to participate online.

Since its inception in 2011, the China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition has become the most authoritative and influential innovation and entrepreneurship platform in China. Official statistics show that more than 240,000 companies and teams participated in the past 10 editions, which raised over 100 billion yuan ($15.38 billion) in investments.
