Noblelift Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd was invited to share about the construction of its 5G-enabled factory at a meeting sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in Ningbo on Sept 4.

The Huzhou-based company is a leading Chinese manufacturer and provider of material handling equipment and logistics solutions.

According to Xu Songyi, executive vice president of Noblelift, all of the facilities in the company's factory is connected to the 5G network, and digitalization has helped the company increase its per capita production efficiency by 32 percent while improving energy utilization efficiency by 105 percent. Operating costs and product defect rates have also been reduced by 25 percent and 43 percent respectively.

The 5G-enabled factory was built in partnership with China Unicom, Xu said.

Noblelift has also teamed up with domestic tech heavyweight Huawei to facilitate the promotion of 5G technologies in fields such as logistics and smart manufacturing.
