Five companies – Tianneng Group Co Ltd, Chiwee Power Group Co Ltd, Zhejiang Shenghua Group Co Ltd, Jiuli Group Co Ltd - from Huzhou made the 2022 list of the top 100 Zhejiang enterprises, local media reported.

This is the 20th time the list has been released by the Zhejiang Enterprises Federation, the Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Association, and the Zhejiang Industrial Economy Federation.

The entry threshold for the ranking rose from 9.28 billion yuan ($1.43 billion) in 2012 to 25.66 billion yuan in 2022. The combined revenue of the top 100 enterprises also surged from 2.73 trillion yuan to 8.9 trillion yuan during this period.

Aggregate tax payment, profit, and assets of these companies was 334 billion yuan, 506.2 billion yuan and 8.26 trillion yuan in 2021, up 22.04 percent, 4.91 percent and 6.64 percent year-on-year respectively.

Among the top 100 companies, 22 are State-owned while the rest are privately owned, indicating a stable growth momentum in the private economy.

In addition, four companies from Huzhou made the list of the top 100 Zhejiang manufacturing enterprises. Two from the city were listed among the top 100 Zhejiang service companies and three made the list of the 100 fastest growing companies in the province.
