Huzhou excels in urban-rural construction

Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province has showed outstanding performances in urban-rural construction over the past decade.
In 2012, Huzhou's Anji county become the nation's first county to receive the UN Habitat Scroll of Honour Award.
In 2014, Huzhou was listed among nationally renowned historical and cultural cities.
A year later, the guideline rolled out by the city to promote the "Beautiful Village" campaign was upgraded to a national standard.
In 2018, Huzhou passed the re-evaluation as a national garden city before being recognized as a national water conservancy city.
In 2020, the city was approved as the only pilot city for the coordinated development of green buildings and green finance in China.
That same year, Huzhou made the list of the first batch of pilot cities in the nation for improvements to the quality of green building maters purchased by governments.
Huzhou has also been rated as "excellent" in the provincial assessment of the campaign launched by Zhejiang to spruce up enviroment in small towns for three years in a row.
In addition, the city received the same rating in provincial assessments for household garbage sorting for four consecutive years and for rural sewage treatment for six years in a row.
