Huzhou's attractiveness for young talents has been rising in recent years, according to reports.

The city was recently ranked second in Zhejiang in a provincial evaluation for youth development. It is also the only city to be rated as "excellent" in all of the seven indexes in the assessment.

In addition, Huzhou was included in the 2022 list of dynamic Chinese cities recently unveiled by China News Service, along with cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangzhou.

Huzhou was ranked 29th in China - 22 spots higher than the previous year - in terms of attractiveness to talents in 2021.

The city's permanent population that year was just over 3.36 million, and people aged between 14 and 35 totaled 929,600, making up 27.6 percent of the city's total, according to the seventh national census.

More than 300,000 talents including college students were brought into the city from 2019 to 2021. Huzhou has to date provided government-subsidized rental apartments for over 20,000 such new residents.
