Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province sent a delegation to Europe on Feb 2 to attract more investment from the continent.

The delegation will embark on a tour of three countries, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Germany, in the following 10 days. They will attend an investment and trade cooperation conference co-hosted by Zhejiang and the three countries, as well as visit Chinese embassies and local industrial parks and companies.

Huzhou will also stage an array of activities to promote its investment environment, while striving to build a platform for exchanges and cooperation with Europe.

This year, more than 15 of these delegations are expected to be sent by the city, as part of authorities' efforts to attract more Global Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders to the city, local officials said.

The city is also mulling setting up special venues in countries including Germany, Japan, and South Korea to fulfill the task.
