Huzhou unveils recommended spring itinerary

A new spring tourism route in Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province was recently unveiled at a travel promotional activity held in Shanghai.

The route comprises renowned scenic spots like Skyland and off-the-beaten-track locations that are popular among locals.

Here are some of the locations in the route.

Skyland

Located at an altitude of 1,168 meters, Skyland is a tourism resort located in Anji county, Huzhou.

The resort has a host of facilities such as cliff swings, grass slides and karting tracks that are catered to thrill seekers. One of the must-see attractions is the glass bridge which stretches about 80 meters beyond a cliff.

Canglongbaipu

Situated in Huzhou's Anji county, Canglongbaipu is the largest waterfall in Zhejiang and has a drop of more than 60 meters. It is often dubbed a smaller version of the Huangguoshu Waterfalls in Guizhou province.

Xinshi Ancient Town

Situated in Huzhou's Deqing county, Xinshi Ancient Town is divided into 18 sections that are connected to one another by more than 50 bridges.

The town is renowned for its exquisite architecture, which includes Ming and Qing-style houses and temples along the rivers.

Former Residence of Zhao Mengfu

Zhao Mengfu (1254-1322) was a Chinese scholar, painter, as well as calligrapher in the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368).

Zhao, a native of Wuxing district in Huzhou, was honored as a master among literati painters. His work focused on personal expressions rather than depictions of nature.
