A lifestyle festival opened in Daixi town, Huzhou's Wuxing district on March 4, according to local media reports.

The five-day event, which is in its third edition this year, was held in the International Beauty & Fashion Expo Center, the largest cosmetics exhibition hall in China, which was inaugurated in Daixi last December.

The festival featuring 20 cosmetic companies attracted over 5,000 visitors in half a day following its opening.

Visitors can enjoy a discount of up to 50 percent on skin care products like hand cream and essential oils, according to the organizers.

Products from a publicly shared brand called Shanwei Daixi have been popular with visitors. The brand sells local food, cosmetics, tourism products and more.

Daixi is a national manufacturing hub for cosmetics and a national 4A scenic spot that has tourism facilities themed on cosmetics.
