Deqing county, in the southern part of Huzhou, covers an area of 936 square kilometers with a total population of 440,000. It has jurisdiction over eight towns and four streets.
Deqing, a place long in history and rich in culture, has been included in the top 100 counties of China, as well as included in the first batch of national-level ecological counties.
The county boasts entrancing scenery and Mogan Mountain -- a national scenic area located in the county -- which was named by the New York Times as one of the 45 best places to visit in the world.
The building of the Beautiful Village version 2.0 also originated in Deqing, which came top of the first national evaluation survey for the rural living environment.
Deqing benefits from its efficient traffic transport and its outstanding transport infrastructure which includes the Nanjing-Hangzhou High-speed Road and State Road 104.
