Three hundred and thirty companies from Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province are attending the 133rd China Import and Export Fair which opened on April 15 in South China's Guangzhou city.

Of the 330 participants from Huzhou, 69 are first-timers at the fair. A total of 688 booths have been set up by the city. Both the participating company numbers and booth numbers are record highs.

Exhibitors from Huzhou have secured a number of deals on the first day of the event. Among them is Zhejiang Longchi Technology Co Ltd, which inked deals worth $200,000 with purchasers.

The company has brought 56 of its products like solar panels and solar power distribution boxes to the exhibition, and roughly 70 percent of them are newly developed.

Another exhibitor from Huzhou, Zhejiang New Insight Material Technology Co Ltd, reached intended procurement agreements worth $300,000 on April 15.

The China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair, is expected to attract buyers from over 220 countries and regions this year as it resumes all offline exhibitions for the first time after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

"The recovery of offline exhibition will bolster overseas merchants' confidence in China's foreign trade and effectively enhance domestic brands' exposure and awareness," said an employee at the Zhejiang New Insight Material Technology.
