The number of foreigners working as livestreaming hosts who promote locally made children's wear in Zhili town in Huzhou has been on the rise in recent years.

One such foreigner is a Ghanaian named Kimba, who, together with expats from countries like Guinea, Mali and Kazakhstan, works for a foreign trade company in the town.

Kimba, who hosts five livestreaming sessions every week, said that children's wear produced in Zhili has proved to be popular among customers in the United States, Canada, Africa and Arab countries.

On top of employing foreign livestreamers, authorities have also been helping local companies tap markets overseas by attending foreign fairs.

The opening of the customs supervision and operation site in Zhili has also expedited custom clearance for exports of children's wear.

A national manufacturing hub for children's wear, Zhili is home to 14,000 market entities involved in the children clothing sector. In this town, companies only need about three hours to turn a design sketch to a physical product.
