Huzhou's GDP exceeds 80b yuan in Q1

The gross domestic product of Huzhou in Zhejiang province totaled 89.49 billion yuan ($12.97 billion) in the first quarter, a year-on-year increase of 3.1 percent.

The added values of the city's primary, secondary and tertiary industries were 2.43 billion yuan, 42.57 billion yuan and 44.48 billion yuan respectively.

During this period, the output value of the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishing industries totaled 4.02 billion yuan, an uptick of 4.9 percent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the added value of the city's above-designated-size industrial enterprises decreased 3.9 percent to 29.56 billion yuan. The decline was 0.4 percentage points lower than the January to February period.

The city's fixed asset investment increased by 7 percent year-on-year. Imports and exports of the city were valued at 41.87 billion yuan, up 17 percent year-on-year. Total retail sales of consumer goods in the city expanded 2.7 percent year-on-year, 4.6 percentage points higher than that the January to February period.

The per capita disposable income of all residents in the city was 20,339 yuan, an uptick of 4.8 percent year-on-year. The per capita disposable income of urban residents was 23,654 yuan, an uptick of 4.1 percent year-on-year, while that of rural residents was 15,181 yuan, an increase of 6.3 percent.
